I invite you to come and look at my madness
My first site opened on 4-1-2002. This site is about my passion for collecting beer bottles. You will find out the reason I started and lots of pictures of the beer bottles I have acquired over the past 26 years. I started when I was 13 years old. I have well over 10,000 different beer bottles in my collection now. I do have a few extras I trade or sell on my FOR SALE page.I do take donations in beer bottles and cash to help run this website. When I first started I was finding most of my bottles under bridges, by building, from friends and just about anywhere I could get them. At first they they just looked good sitting on my small shelves in my room. My whole family thought I was nuts. Now over 26 years latter my family thinks I am crazy. My wife is very good about my collection. My kids have no clue why I like beer bottles so much. This is why I like them. Glass to me has alot of history and is very interesting. It is something that most people have no clue how it is made nor do that care. When glass bottles were first invented. I feel that the people that made it worked very hard to make so little money for a days work. In a way, the time it took to make just one bottle just was not worth it to many people. By blowing the glass several people had lung problems and and got very hurt doing a days work. As people these days we would never in our right minds want to do the hard work it took several people to do by blowing glass bottles. I've collected beer bottles from all different spots of the world, like Russia, England, Japan, Germany, America and so on. They all ment hard work. Now bottles are not made by people but by machines. No glass blowing, no carving of the wooden mold. Just tink about all the work it took just to make one beer bottle. I just enjoy the history of glass.
Life is full of beer
D. TWEEDLE. I NEED ONE!!
Were Life is one big bottle of beer that never ends.
Although a large amount of beer was consumed in America before 1860,
beer bottles from this period are verey rare and all have pontiled bases. Most
beer made during this time was sold in wooden berrels to local taverns and
private bottlers.
Did you now that Glass did not become widely used until after the Civil War (1865)..??
Did you now that up to 1860 all beer bottles had pontiled bases...??
Did you now that beer bottles from 1860-1870 are very rare??
from 1870-1880 they are scarce. From 1880-1890 they are Semi- Common
Did you now that Bottles marked Ale or Porter were first Manufactured from 1850-1860..??
Did you now that until the 1870's beer bottles were sealed with cork..??
Did you now that the lightening stopper was not invented until the late 19th century..??
Did you now that before the 1930's beer came in green bottles then after the Prohibition,
brown glass was used because it was thought to preserve freshness by filtering out sunlight ..??
Do you feel lucky???

Now that I got that done it is time for BEER..
This website and the move to my Garage has helped me control my collection in so many ways. I have been able to talk to so many people from around the world about new and different beers. I now tend to nit pick at bottles that I do not think that are good enough for my collection, so now I look for a better one and upgrade. The way you show your collection shows how much you enjoy your collection. If all your collectables sit in boxes you will never enjoy what you have. My collection has allways been shown on shelves and now that I have more space I can expand. This is my own idea in the way I display my bottles. The paton will be here soon. The webpage helps me see who I really am...
I AM STILL FINDING NEW ROGUE BOTTLES.
Here are some new pictures of Gargage. I have over 10,000++ different beer bottles and I have found an extra 300 that are for trade or sell, But I do not have time to add them to my FOR SALE area as of yet. There are 4 double walls 10 feet long 8 feet high then the front wall that was not intended to have bottles on it, I ran out of room. This is my own Idea. I did not copy anyone else. I have also never seen anyone with this way of doing there display.. Now I have taken the other part of the Garage and started to put shelves on it. MORE WORK FOR THE MAD PERSON.
SO NOW THAT THE GARAGE IS JUST ABOUT DONE I CAN GO BACK TO WORKING ON MY SITE MORE.
If you have any extra bottles you would like to give me let me now. Thanxxxxx and enjoy my site. If you have any ideas or questions about my site you can email me that to.
FEAST OF FOOLS. LIMITED EDITION Newest creation from Budweiser
In the past 20 years I have collected beer bottles from all over the world. Some people only collect beer bottles from the area they live in, Well not me. On my site you will see several different shapes, sizes, colors of beer bottles from all areas of the world.
Beer may as well be the oldest alcoholic beverage. It was brewed in prehistoric times and has been found sealed in ancient Egyptian tombs.
For many years beer was transported in and sold from hardwood kegs or barrels, usually made of oak. Since beer in direct contact with wood takes on an unpleasent tast, the kegs were lined with pine pitch, which is tastless and is not soluble in the brew.

To find older beer bottles can be hard to do. Bottles from 1860-1870 are RARE. 1870-1880 are SCARCE. 1818-1890 are SEMI-COMMON and from 1890 to now they are COMMON. The majority of the imported bottles were black glass pontiled bottles made in three-piece molds and rarely embossed. The first bottles used in the U.S.A. were made of pottery. Glass bottles were not widely used untill after the Civil War (1865). Up untill the 1870's beer bottles were sealed with cork stoppers. Late in the 19th century, the "lightening stopper" was invented. It proved a convenient way of sealing and re-sealing blob top bottles. In 1891, corks were replaced with the "crown cork closure," invented by William Painter. This made use of a thin slice of cork within a toght-fitting metal cap. Up untill the 1930's beer came in green bottles. After Prohibition, brown bottles came into use to filter out the damaging rays of the sun and preserved freshness...

As you can see I collect any type, size, color, year ao shape. I do not even care what country they are from. All beer bottles mean alot to me.
